Cosmos Course
Cosmos Course equips physics professionals with practical skills to explore the universe's first billion years. Participants learn to analyse CMB and 21-cm data, design high-redshift observations, apply Bayesian inference for parameter estimation, and develop compelling mission proposals that bridge theory and astrophysical observations.

What will I learn?
This course offers a practical guide to understanding the universe's first billion years, covering CMB anisotropies, BAO, high-redshift galaxies, quasars, GRBs, supernovae, and 21-cm signals. It links these to structure formation, reionization, and cosmological parameters, with hands-on training in observation planning, data analysis, Bayesian methods, and mission proposals.
Elevify advantages
Develop skills
- Analyse early-universe data including CMB, BAO, 21-cm signals, and high-redshift galaxies.
- Model formation of first stars, galaxies, and reionization using realistic scenarios.
- Design observations for high-redshift targets with suitable filters, spectroscopy, timings, and surveys.
- Use Bayesian MCMC methods to derive strong constraints from cosmological datasets.
- Develop mission proposals featuring clear science goals, metrics, risks, and technical needs.
