What will I learn?
This course offers a practical overview of Earth's core and external magnetic field sources, key geomagnetic indices, and real-time monitoring systems. Participants will learn to access and analyse Kp, Dst, AE, and local data, link geomagnetic changes to geomagnetically induced currents (GICs) and infrastructure threats, and produce structured technical reports for effective communication, forecasting, and risk mitigation strategies.
