Compensators Course
Master speed-loop compensator design for motor drives. Gain skills in lead, lag, and lead-lag tuning using Bode and Nyquist analysis. Address robustness, noise handling, saturation effects, and digital implementation. Apply MATLAB or Python workflows to create stable, high-performance electronic control systems for drives.

What will I learn?
This course builds confidence in designing and tuning speed control loops. Explore modeling, pole-zero analysis, Bode and Nyquist techniques, and links between phase/gain margins and overshoot/settling time. Design lead, lag, and lead-lag compensators via examples, manage noise, sampling, saturation, and validate with simulations.
Elevify advantages
Develop skills
- Speed loop design: tune bandwidth, overshoot, and settling time for drives.
- Lead/lag compensator tuning: select poles and zeros for robust motor control.
- Bode and Nyquist analysis: read margins and predict closed-loop behavior fast.
- Digital implementation: convert C(s) to C(z) and set safe sampling frequencies.
- Robust, noise-aware control: handle gain drift, filtering, and actuator saturation.
