What will I learn?

The Archaeology Course provides a practical, hands-on approach to mastering survey, excavation, and laboratory techniques for authentic projects. Participants learn to plan corridor surveys, utilise GNSS, GPR, and shovel test pits, record contexts, handle discoveries, and conduct dating, ceramic, stone tool, animal remains, and soil studies. Additionally, they engage in GIS interpretation, technical documentation, and community engagement adapted to sites in Eritrea's river valleys.
