This course provides hands-on skills for safe and effective work in farm woodlots, covering chainsaw safety gear, upkeep, safe tree felling with notching, hinge control, and escape paths, plus tree identification, hazard evaluation, small forest management planning, and legal essentials to sustainably handle mixed woods while safeguarding soil, water, wildlife, and people.
