Logic Systems Course
This course provides a practical introduction to logic systems, covering Boolean algebra, combinational and sequential logic design, timing considerations, and hardware implementation using discrete components or PLDs, with emphasis on optimization, robustness, and clear documentation for real-world applications.

What will I learn?
Master core logic systems in a short, practical course focused on real controllers. You will review Boolean algebra, binary signals, and gate behaviour, then design optimised combinational and sequential logic using K-maps and FSMs. Learn timing, debouncing, synchronisation, and metastability control, then map designs to discrete logic or small PLDs and document them clearly for reliable implementation.
Elevify advantages
Develop skills
- Optimise Boolean logic: apply K-maps and Quine–McCluskey in real designs.
- Build robust FSMs: design, encode, and debug appliance control state machines fast.
- Harden digital I/O: debounce, filter glitches, and avoid metastability on inputs.
- Implement logic in hardware: choose gates, flip-flops, CPLDs, or MCUs with confidence.
- Document logic clearly: produce handoff-ready schematics, tables, and state diagrams.
