What will I learn?

This practical course teaches designing a full piezoelectric accelerometer signal path, covering sensor traits, gain calculations, anti-alias filters, op-amp selection, cutoff frequencies, power management, grounding, decoupling, and verifying noise, SNR, and performance to meet measurement needs confidently.

Elevify advantages

Develop skills

  • Design anti-alias filters by sizing RC networks and selecting topologies for accurate ADC data.
  • Interface piezo sensors by modelling accelerometers and choosing charge or voltage modes.
  • Build op-amp chains setting gain, bias, and protection from sensor to 3.3V ADC.
  • Optimise low-noise layouts with proper PCB routing, grounding, and decoupling.
  • Validate performance by calculating noise, SNR, and testing bandwidth effectively.
