What will I learn?

The Archaeology Course provides a focused, hands-on approach to mastering survey, excavation, and laboratory skills for practical projects. Participants learn to plan corridor surveys, utilise GNSS, GPR, and shovel test pits, record contexts, handle finds, and conduct dating, ceramic, stone tool, animal bone, and soil analyses. Additionally, they practise GIS-based analysis, technical reporting, and community engagement adapted to Zimbabwean river valley sites.
