What will I learn?
You will start by understanding horse behaviour and barn safety so you can handle horses without putting yourself or the animal at risk. From there, you will learn how to groom and tack up correctly, mount and dismount safely, and develop a balanced riding position. The course walks you through controlling the walk, rising and sitting trot, and the canter on both leads. You will also cover trail riding skills, basic horse health care, rider fitness, and tack maintenance. By the end, you will have the knowledge and hands-on skills to ride with real confidence.
