What will I learn?
This course provides practical skills for operating a 750 kg coreless induction furnace confidently. You will learn charge design, heat calculations, alloying, deoxidation, desulfurisation, and inoculation for steel and gray iron. Additionally, master slag control, temperature management, green sand mould checks, defect prevention, safe furnace operation, emergency procedures, shift coordination, and documentation.
Elevify advantages
Develop skills
- Induction furnace control: run safe, efficient heats for steel and gray iron.
- Charge and slag practice: design charges, treat slag, and hit target chemistry fast.
- Casting defect reduction: detect, analyse, and prevent porosity, slag and erosion.
