What will I learn?
You will develop a solid understanding of biomedical measurement systems, beginning with physiological signal origins and electronic fundamentals, then progressing through sensor design, analogue-to-digital conversion, and multi-channel data acquisition. You will study cardiovascular and neurological monitoring instruments, including ECG design, EEG acquisition, and respiratory mechanics measurement. The course also covers major imaging modalities, therapeutic devices such as pacemakers and ventilators, and closed-loop control architectures.
