What will I learn?
You will learn the four pillars of computational thinking — decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm design — and apply them directly in Python. The course covers core programming fundamentals, modular code design with functions, and Python's built-in data structures including lists, dictionaries, sets, and tuples. You will implement and analyse classic searching and sorting algorithms using Big-O notation. Object-oriented programming principles, file handling, and exception management prepare you to write production-quality code. The course closes with a full applied project where you plan, build, test, and document a real software solution using Git and pytest.
