Copper Metallurgy Course
This course covers the complete copper production chain, from mineralogy and comminution to flotation, smelting, converting, fire refining, and electrorefining. Participants learn to optimise processes, balance mass flows, control impurities such as As and S, handle slag and off-gases, evaluate pyro- and hydro-metallurgical paths, and deliver high recovery, minimal emissions, and premium cathode copper quality in line with environmental standards.
