What will I learn?
This course offers a hands-on overview of copper production processes, covering ore mineralogy, crushing, grinding, flotation, smelting, converting, fire refining, and electrorefining. You will learn to create and improve process flowsheets, perform mass balances, manage impurities like arsenic and sulphur, handle slag and gases, evaluate pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical methods, and ensure high recovery rates, reduced emissions, and top-quality copper cathodes.
