What will I learn?
You will learn how binary numbers work, how to convert between binary, decimal, octal, and hexadecimal, and how to perform all four arithmetic operations directly in binary. You will master signed number representations including two's complement, apply Boolean algebra to design real logic circuits, and encode text and numbers in standard formats like ASCII, IEEE 754, and BCD. You will also use bitwise operations for masking and flag management, implement error-detection schemes such as parity and Hamming codes, and explore binary applications in cryptography, memory systems, and data transmission.
