What will I learn?
This short practical course teaches you how to use GIS methods for hydrogeology, starting from choosing a dry area basin and working on DEMs up to marking out watersheds and creating layers for land shape, land use, and water under ground features. You will make maps for groundwater chances and risks of too much use, check open data sets, plan places for watching, and create clear professional maps with open methods and noted uncertainties.
Elevify advantages
Develop skills
- Groundwater GIS modelling: create chance and risk maps with clear guides.
- DEM and water flow analysis: mark out basins, streams, and recharge areas quickly.
- Water under ground data combining: join wells, rocks, and weather into GIS layers.
- Professional map making: produce ready-for-print water under ground maps and reports.
- Watching design in GIS: choose main wells and explain places with mapped data.
