This course provides an introduction to Nordic societies, exploring traditions, rituals, and daily life in relation to family, work, gender, and class. Participants will develop skills in historical inquiry, source analysis, and cultural change over 100–150 years, culminating in a research project emphasizing argumentation, structure, and referencing.

What will I learn?
The Nordic Culture Course gives a short, good introduction to Nordic societies, looking at traditions, rituals, and daily ways linked to family, work, gender, and class. You will learn to set historical questions, look at main and other sources, and follow cultural changes over 100–150 years. The course finishes with a good small research project using strong arguments, structure, and referencing skills.
