What will I learn?
In this course, you will learn the fundamental positions of classical dance, including correct foot placement, arm shapes, and head alignment. You will develop strength and precision through structured barre exercises such as pliés, tendus, rond de jambe, and battements. Center work will train your balance and coordination without the support of the barre. You will also study spotting technique and execute your first pirouettes and small jumps. Throughout every chapter, you will practice moving in time with music and applying dynamic variation to your movement. Supplementary material covers flexibility, conditioning, nutrition, and performance presence to support your growth as a complete dancer.
