What will I learn?
The Botanist Course provides practical skills to design and conduct a complete 50-hectare plant survey, from setting conservation goals and research questions to developing robust sampling designs. You will learn standardised field methods, species identification and voucher protocols, data management, and monitoring strategies for rare, native, and invasive plants in temperate river–forest–grassland mosaics.
Elevify advantages
Develop skills
- Habitat-based plant ID: quickly recognise native, invasive, and rare species.
- Vegetation sampling: apply transects, quadrats, and plots to quantify plant cover.
- Field survey design: plan stratified sampling for river, forest, and grassland.
- Botanical data management: build clean field sheets, databases, and GPS records.
