What will I learn?
This course teaches you how to use controlled breathing to manage pain, regulate your nervous system, and support your body through every phase of labour. You will learn the physiological reasons why breath affects contractions, oxygen delivery, and pain perception. You will practise core techniques including slow abdominal breathing, rhythmic patterned breathing, and transition-phase breath control. The course also covers how to adapt these methods when medical interventions such as epidurals or inductions are involved.
