What will I learn?
This course provides a hands-on overview of copper production from ore analysis, crushing, grinding, flotation, smelting, converting, fire refining, to electrorefining. You will learn to create and improve process flowsheets, perform mass balances, manage impurities like arsenic and sulphur, handle slag and waste gases, evaluate pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical methods, and ensure high recovery rates, reduced emissions, and top-quality copper cathodes.
