What will I learn?

The Torch Cutting Course provides quick, hands-on training to make clean, precise cuts on mild steel from 6–20 mm thick. You will learn the basics of oxy-fuel, how to choose tips, set gas pressures, adjust the flame, and handle the torch accurately for straight and angled cuts. You will also master planning before starting, safe startup and shutdown, using personal protective equipment, ensuring good ventilation, preventing fires, plus checking work, fixing problems, and reworking to maintain high quality and reduce defects.
