What will I learn?
This course develops essential practical skills for safe and effective operations at sea. It covers bridge watchkeeping, COLREGs compliance, lookout responsibilities, radar and AIS utilisation, along with navigation light inspections. Participants will master PPE selection and use, line handling techniques, mooring operations, toolbox meetings, time management strategies, pollution control measures, and incident reporting protocols. Specialised modules address cargo watchkeeping, grain cargo safety, firefighting procedures, and everyday deck maintenance to boost your performance aboard ship.
