What will I learn?
You will start with the fundamentals of optics, sensor technology, and night sky navigation, then move into mount setup, polar alignment, and autoguiding for sharp long-exposure imaging. The course walks you through capturing wide-field Milky Way panoramas, deep-sky nebulae, and high-resolution planetary video. You will learn how to collect calibration frames, stack sub-exposures using sigma-clipping and other algorithms, and remove gradients from your data. Processing chapters cover histogram stretching, noise reduction, colour calibration, and final export for web and print. Narrowband and light-pollution chapters ensure you can produce strong results regardless of your location or equipment budget.
