What will I learn?
The Archaeology Course provides a practical, hands-on approach to learning survey, excavation, and laboratory techniques for actual fieldwork. Participants will learn to plan corridor surveys, utilise GNSS, GPR, and shovel test pits, record site contexts, handle discoveries, and perform dating, ceramic, stone tool, animal bone, and soil studies. Additionally, you will gain experience in GIS interpretation, technical writing, and community engagement focused on sites in the American Midwest river valleys.
