What will I learn?

This course covers the full spectrum of cavitation engineering, starting with bubble dynamics and cavitation number calculations and moving through pump and turbine performance analysis, erosion mechanisms, and material selection. You will learn to interpret noise and vibration signatures, set up CFD simulations using industry-standard models, and apply geometric and operational controls to suppress cavitation. Case studies in industrial valves, marine propulsion, and hydraulic systems connect theory directly to practice. You will also build skills in condition monitoring, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance for high-consequence systems.
