What will I learn?

This course provides targeted, hands-on instruction in carbon steel pouring, covering fundamentals of heat transfer and mould preparation through to accurate temperature management and defect avoidance. Participants will learn to choose and manage ladles securely, minimise gas porosity and shrinkage, implement robust quality inspections, enhance key performance indicators, and reinforce safety protocols, personal protective equipment usage, and emergency procedures at the pouring station.
