Integrated Circuits Course
4 to 360h flexible workload
certificate valid in your country

What will I learn?

This course provides a targeted approach to designing low-power CMOS sensor amplifiers using 180 nm and 130 nm processes. Participants will establish practical specifications, select appropriate op-amp topologies, perform transistor sizing via first-order hand calculations, and address noise, offset, and PVT variations. It covers layout-aware design techniques, verification processes, and key trade-offs to ensure first-time silicon success.

Elevify advantages

Develop skills

  • Select low-power, low-noise CMOS op-amp topologies efficiently.
  • Perform analog transistor sizing, including W/L, gm/Id, and biasing for 130 nm and 180 nm nodes.
  • Apply first-order hand calculations for IC design parameters like gain, UGBW, noise, and headroom.
  • Define sensor front-end specifications to convert small signals into precise op-amp requirements.
  • Understand IC integration fundamentals such as layout, PSRR, ESD protection, and ADC interfacing for robust amplifiers.
