Compensators Course
Gain expertise in designing compensators for speed loops in motor drives. Master tuning lead, lag, and lead-lag compensators, apply Bode and Nyquist analysis for stability, ensure robustness against noise and saturation, and use MATLAB or Python simulations to create reliable, high-performance control systems for electronic drives.

What will I learn?
This course equips you with hands-on skills to design and tune speed control loops confidently. You'll master modelling, pole-zero analysis, Bode and Nyquist techniques, and the links between phase/gain margins, overshoot, and settling time. Using practical examples, design lead, lag, and lead-lag compensators, tackle noise, sampling, saturation issues, and validate via simulations.
Elevify advantages
Develop skills
- Design speed loops by tuning bandwidth, overshoot, and settling time for drives.
- Tune lead/lag compensators by choosing poles and zeros for sturdy motor control.
- Analyse Bode and Nyquist plots to assess margins and forecast loop performance quickly.
- Implement digitally by transforming C(s) to C(z) with proper sampling rates.
- Build robust control handling noise, gain changes, filtering, and saturation limits.
