What will I learn?
The Archaeology Training Course provides a practical, hands-on approach to learning survey, excavation, and laboratory techniques for actual fieldwork. Participants will learn to plan corridor surveys, utilise GNSS, GPR, and shovel test pits, record site contexts, handle artefacts, and perform dating, ceramic, stone tool, animal bone, and soil studies. Additionally, you will engage in GIS interpretation, technical writing, and community engagement focused on sites in Botswana's river valleys.
