What will I learn?
You'll start by understanding horse behaviour and barn safety so you can handle horses without putting yourself or the animal at risk. From there, you'll learn how to groom and tack up correctly, mount and dismount safely, and develop a balanced riding position. The course walks you through controlling the walk, rising and sitting trot, and the canter on both leads. You'll also cover trail riding skills, basic horse health care, rider fitness, and tack maintenance. By the end, you'll have the knowledge and hands-on skills to ride with real confidence.
